Het Nederlands Instituut voor Mediakunst, Montevideo/Time Based Arts heeft zich de opdracht gesteld een vrije ontwikkeling, toepassing, verspreiding van, en reflectie op nieuwe technologieën binnen de beeldende kunst te bevorderen.
Een christelijke vakbond die zich inzet voor haar leden: artiesten, auteurs, kunstenaars, koren en iedereen die zich bezig houdt met kunst en cultuur.
FNV KIEM is de vakbond voor werknemers, freelancers, kleine zelfstandigen, starters en uittreders in de kunsten, informatie-industrie, entertainment en de (multi-)media.
Op originele foto’s, kunstwerken en ontwerpen rust bijna altijd auteursrecht: het recht van de maker om te beslissen wat met zijn werk gebeurt. Anderen mogen zijn beelden alleen met zijn toestemming publiceren en hij mag daar een vergoeding voor vragen. Het klinkt eenvoudig, maar de praktische uitvoering van het auteursrecht kent nogal wat haken en ogen.
De BFN is een vereniging van ruim 450 beroepsfotografen in Nederland. De vereniging is bijna 90 jaar, maar nog steeds volop in beweging.

Kunsthal
Een Kunsthal, in Duitstalige gebieden ook wel Kunsthale of Kunsthaus genoemd, is een niet-commerciële instelling die kunstexposities organiseert.
In tegenstelling tot een kunstmuseum beschikt een kunsthal doorgaans niet over een vaste en eigen collectie maar is er sprake van voortdurend wisselende exposities.

Marin Gropius Bau
Het huis, gebouwd door architect Martin Gropius Heino en smederijen in de formele taal van de Renaissance als een museum voor Decoratieve Kunsten. 1881, werd plechtig geopend. Na de Eerste Wereldoorlog trok het Museum voor Pre-en Vroege Geschiedenis en Oost-collectie Aziatische kunst.

Landgrave Friedrich II did not build a palace of residency at the newly generated parade ground, the Friedrichsplatz in Kassel, but –in the terms of the enlightenment – a public museum in neo-classical style. 1950 richtete man die Städtische Kunsthalle im ehemaligen Hochbunker am Hauptbahnhof ein. Anlass gab der Gedanke, die 1947 gegründeten Ruhrfestspiele durch Ausstellungen der bildenden Kunst zu erweitern. Der Betonklotz wurde aufgesprengt.

In 1983 an open design competition was held to decide what the museum should look like. On May 17, 1983 Hans Hollein, a Viennese architect, was awarded the first prize and was commissioned to handle the project.

The collection features a number of unique highlights of modern 20th century art. Particularly well represented are Cubism, Expressionism, the Bauhaus and Surrealism.
